At St. John’s, we are committed to fostering an active and evolving community of Christian faith, nurturing and supporting one another as we seek God in worship, fellowship and service to our neighbors.

We believe inclusion and diversity describe a community based on mutual respect and love. We embrace our differences as holy expressions of God’s inclusive love for all creation. Our diversity reflects the many facets of God’s creation in our age, race, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, socioeconomic status, work and educational experience, physical and mental abilities, and spiritual needs.

Different though we are, we share a faith in God as revealed in Jesus Christ and in the creative Spirit that urges us toward maturity, wisdom, responsibility and love.

Holy Week:  We will worship at our regular time on Palm Sunday, March 24, and Easter Sunday, March 31.  Please join us.  If you would like to participate in Holy Thursday or Good Friday services, please visit Grace United Methodist Church, our sister congregation at 5407 N Charles Street, which will hold services from 7:00 to 8:00 PM both evenings.
